Specification Production – Design
Severn Subsea Technologies can, through a process of requirement analysis convert the marketing/business requirement into technical specifications, technical architecture, functional specification and 3D Models. These are the precursors to formal project planning on medium/large scale projects, forming the description of the deliverables for contractual purposes and are ideal to get a sense of what the implementation cost will be.
Using the experience of our engineers we can assist you to define your requirements, breaking them down into discrete functions and components from which we can produce a Functional Design Specification – FDS. Once a detailed FDS has been agreed then we can begin to consider the nature of the solution and develop a full proposal.
Drawing on experience arising from many industry-leading projects, the Severn Subsea Technologies mechanical design team has the ability to start with a “blank sheet” and through a process of client discussion convert that into a requirement to begin producing interpretations of ideas using 2D drawing packages such as AutoCAD and 3D models using Solid Works.

The Severn Subsea Technologies electronics design team provides the capability to design and develop innovative turnkey solution hardware and infrastructure for downhole and subsea electronic equipment and systems. This is a very potent capability geared to finding solutions and solving problems rather than just providing a product offering. Our Electronics team is very experienced in harsh environment, high temperature electronics and use the latest ALTIUM DESIGNER CAD suite.
